Humpback Whale Tail

Wildland Tours

The Wildland Tours story starts in 1984 with a local biology student, fresh from offshore experiences with seabirds and whales, looking to share the huge local populations of whales, puffins, caribou, and more with animal-loving travellers.  Their first tours in 1984 featured excursions to Cape St. Mary’s and voyages out to see puffins and whales with local fishing enterprises.  Soon they were offering adventures to conference goers and week-long excursions for people who wanted to learn more about Newfoundland, Labrador, and the huge local populations of wildlife.  In 2014 they are still providing distinctive and fun travel adventures featuring knowledgeable local hosts and natural attractions that will forever become part of your life’s story.  They contribute whenever possible to the local understanding of marine wildlife populations and they strive to provide memorable travel adventures on the land and sea.   Since 1990 Wildland Tours has been providing shore excursions to cruise vessels visiting the large and small ports of Newfoundland and Labrador.
